A walk along our favourite stretch of the Southern Upland Way. We knew it would be a good time to look for Green Hairstreak butterflies and Emperor Moths.
We weren’t disappointed, we soon came across the first of many Green Hairstreaks!

Well we eventually found a beautiful male Emperor moth but it was being devoured by this Stonechat. Now we know where it gets its colours from Next is a sequence of shots I took, it took some getting down!
