Out doing a BTO bird survey at Cairn Pat.
Took this photo of a butterfly right at the top of the hill, when I got home I realised it was a Grayling. This is a coastal butterfly so I was surprised to find it here, although you are never far from the sea on the Rhins.
Our local wind farm
Trig point on the top of Cairn Pat, the highest point on the Rhins of Galloway and there are great views of Loch Ryan, Ailsa Craig, Ireland etc on a clear day

Harebell
We met a couple that had cycled from their yacht moored at Portpatrick, they were looking for this sign. Aparently these are on all old landmarks such as this bridge and show the height above sea level.
Back down to Sandhead for a picnic.
