Castle Kennedy 26th March 2011

A short walk today to see whats about. The first thing we heard when we got out of the car was our first Chiffchaffs of the year. We could soon also hear the buzzing of bumblebees on the rhododendrons.

Lots of geese about at the moment, greylags on the Loch.

Periwinkles or vinca minor

More rhodos

Wood anemone

Lochinch Castle through the trees

Fungi growing out of rotting wood.

Canada geese on the loch.

There was a lovely leucistic one too!

The canadas wanting some of the attention

Wild Daffodils

Cormorants in the trees on the loch island

Lovely fresh leaves of the Wild Garlic or Ramsons.
A red squirrel was also seen but I wasnt quick enough to get a photo.

Back at the car this robin came to share our lunch!
